Kayaknya semua wanita Indonesia suka pake kebaya, terutama di hari-hari special, misalnya pesta pernikahan, wisuda, dll. Kebaya juga banyak sekali modelnya. Beauty Tip#15: F-J Beauty Remedies

Facial Fix-Up
1/2 cup oatmeal powder
1/2 cup bran
1/4 cup cornmeal
1 teaspoon zinc oxide

Mix all together into a paste with water. Massage on face; rinse off.

Facial Glow Masque
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon warm milk
1 teaspoon honey

Mix together. Apply to face and throat. Lie down and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.


Fruit Punch Refresher
1/2 cup lemon yogurt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 teaspoon grapefruit juice

Mix; leave on face for 10 minutes. Rinse with cold club soda.

Full Body Masque
1 handful finely crushed almonds
5 tablespoons uncooked oatmeal
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup hot water

Mix all ingredients to form a paste. Slather on (especially on back and chest areas) and leave for 10 minutes. Massage in; rinse off.

Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 tablespoon castor oil
1 tablespoon light olive oil

Mix the ingredients together and pour into a clean container

To use pour a small amount of oil onto a clean white cotton ball and gently wipe over your upper and lower eyelashes and eyelids. This removes all traces of mascara.

Yields 1 1/2 ounces.

Georgia Peach Mask
1 ripe peach
1 egg white

Mash peach to a pulp or puree in blender. Beat the egg white just until stiff, then fold the peach pur�e into the egg white. Apply thickly to face and neck with fingertips. Let dry for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.

Grape Facial
For over-sunned faces.

1 cup green grapes
1 teaspoon honey or 1 egg yolk

Crush green grapes to a pulp. Add honey or egg yolk. Leave on damp skin for 15 minutes; rinse.

Green Tea Skin Toner
Source: The Commercial Appeal - August 25, 2002

Green tea tightens and calms skin. It also contains a strong antioxidant that fights signs of aging. This toner should be applied before a moisturizer.

1/2 cup pure spring water or distilled water
2 teaspoons green tea leaves (or 1 green tea bag)

Bring water to a boil. Place the tea leaves or tea bag in a glass or bowl. Pour the boiling water over the leaves or bag and steep for 2 to 3 minutes.

Strain the green tea into a bottle, and let it cool.

Apply to skin with cotton balls. Do not rinse.

Hand Cream
1 (16 ounce) jar Clear Basics vitamin E skin cream
1 (13 ounce) jar petroleum jelly
1 (15 ounce) bottle baby lotion

Mix by hand or with electric beater on medium speed until creamy.

Store in airtight containers.


Heavenly Mask
1 tablespoon yogurt
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon honey

Mix gently and let stand until paste reaches room temperature. Smooth mask onto clean face, and lie down for 20 minutes. Rinse off with tepid water. Apply astringent and moisturizer.

Herb Garden Splash
2 cups white vinegar
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon savory
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon crushed bay leaves

Combine all ingredients and store in a sterilized glass jar for 1 week. Shake occasionally to mix contents. Strain and pour into a tightly capped bottle.

Herbal Face Steam
Deep pore cleanser.

1 quart water
1 handful any herbs*
Juice and peel of 1/2 lemon

Bring water to a boil. Add juice and peel of lemon and herbs. Turn off the heat and take the pot to a table. Cover your hair with a shower cap or towel and drape another towel over your head and the pot, holding your face about 10 inches above the water. Keep your eyes closed and let the steam do its magic cleansing for about 15 minutes. Afterward, rinse with COLD water to close the pores.

* Use any herbs you have available: rosemary, thyme, mint, marjoram, basil, parsley, cloves, caraway, anise or fennel seeds, chamomile, lavender or elder flowers.

Herbal Scrub Facial Cleanser
1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup dried herbs

Combine in a blender. Blend until coarsely ground. Keep in a jar by the sink. Use a handful of the scrub with water to gently clean your face.

Use mint to refresh delicate skin; hollyhock petals or okra leaves provide emollient action for dry complexions.

Herbed Honey Skin Cream
2 teaspoons dried mint
2 teaspoons dried sage
2 teaspoons dried rosemary
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 ounce beeswax
2 ounces lanolin
1/2 cup wheat germ oil
1 teaspoon honey

Combine herbs in a clean bowl. Pour boiling water over herbs. Steep for 10 minutes.

Strain through a fine sieve, collecting liquid in a clean bowl. Allow to cool; discard herbs.

Melt beeswax and lanolin in a heatproof glass set in simmering water. Stir in wheat germ oil.

Add herbal infusion by teaspoonful and stir until well blended. Remove glass from water.

Add honey to tepid cream and carefully stir it in until blended. Let cream cool completely.

Stir cream thoroughly and transfer it to clean containers with tight-fitting lids. Store up to 3 months.

Yields 10 ounces.

1. Oleskan sedikit pada bulu mata sebelum tidur. Banyak orang membuktikan bahwa dengan cara ini bulu mata akan lebih panjang dan tebal jika dilakukan secara teratur.

2. Oleskan vaseline pada tumit dan pakai kaos kaki, lalu diamkan semalaman (dibawa tidur). Besok pagi kaki akan terasa lebih lembut!

Beauty Tips #13: Snow White

Dashima

This is the type of seaweed that you can probably get at korean supermarket or your parents probably have it at home as an ingredient. It comes dried like normal seaweed and you have to boil it in water for it to get soft and sticky. I looked in dictionary and in English it's called tangleweed. Haha I think you should stick to dashima when you ask for it though. But its everywhere so its easy to get. Dashima is rich in nutrients and minerals. Just eating it will probably help you get brighter haha. Especially good for people with sun-burned and tanned skin. Many celebrities use this plant also.

Dashima pack
First, you have to boil the dashima in water until it get's soft and sticky. Don't boil for too long or you'll drain the nutrients and be left with soup base! With the water and the dashima together, pour it in a blender. Make sure you don't have too much water cuz the dashima is the main thing.
After blending it, you will be left with gooey green stuff. Distribute throughout your face and have it on for at least 20 minutes. Doing this for at least 2 times a week should give results.
Cucumber Pack

Cucumbers are good for dry skin, pimples, and for people who want skin that looks like tofu ^^. I have a friend whose skin is unbelievably white that I was so jealous and I asked him why his skin was so white. He told me he just puts cucumbers on his face everyday. I guess these days Korean guys take really good care of themselves huh?

I usually grate the cucumbers on a hand grater so it's easier for it to stick on all areas of my face. But you can do the cucumber pack if you wanna be hardcore. Woohoo

1. You need one small container of plain yogurt (tastes horrible) and 1/3 of cucumber. I guess the measurement would be in cups. You don't have to be precise with measurement though. Just do what you think is suitable.

2. Blend the cucumber first, then mix in the yogurt and leave on face for 15 minutes or more. And wash off with water.



Kiwi Pack

The vitamin A in yogurt mixed with the nutrients in kiwi helps whiten skin and change your skin completely.

1. You need small container of plain yogurt and 1 kiwi.

2. blend the kiwi and yogurt together

3. Smudge slowly on face and keep it on for 15 minutes at the least.

Banana Pack

Bananas have vitamin A and helps skin to look soft and milky.

1. You need 1/3 of a banana, half a small spoon of lemon juice, half a small spoon of olive oil.

2. slice bananas and blend with lemon juice and oil

3. Distribute through face. Good for dark eye. Take off after exactly 30 minutes and wash your face with lukewarm water.



Apple Pack

Helps dry and discolored skin. Gives a clear effect.

1. you need one good apple and ½ spoon of flour.

2. Blend the apple.

3. soak the flour in enough warm water to make it mushy and wet. It has to stick to face.

4. mix the blended apple with the we flour.

5. distribute on face and leave for 30 minutes at the most.



Almond Pack

This is used a lot as an ingredient in cosmetics for skin.

It makes skin nice and white and alive haha

1, you need one full spoon of finely grinded almond, 1 raw egg, and a small amount of lemon juice.

2. Separate the egg white and yolk. Only need the yolk.

3. mix the yolk and almond together and squeeze a tiny bit of lemon juice into it.

4. smudge on your face evenly and wait for it to dry.

5. when it dries, put a warm wet towel over your face to give more effect

6. after 30 minutes, wash it off.

Grape pack

Grapes can get rid of pimples and whiten your face.

1. Just grind the grapes and mix with a small amount of plain yogurt.

2. put on face for 30 minutes



Here are other ways to get whiter skin…

1. put on low power sunscreen when you go out.

2. Eat your vitamins everyday. I really good one is Centrum

3. If you are asian you eat a lot of rice. So when you're making your own rice or your mom is or whatever, you have to wash it first. The first time you wash the rice in a bowl, the water turn milky white. Use that first rice water and slowly wash your face with it. Helps with the white skin and is a method that lots of people use.



I recommend this one. Heehee

I don't know if many people know her but long time actress Han Hyesook is known for having really white skin for her age.



Her secret is milk and cotton pads.

All you do is soak cotton pads into milk and lay it over your face for 30 minutes or so.

You have to make sure you don't go in the sun right after though.



Another popular one is honey. Just smudge honey or honey with yogurt on your face and keep it on. It's edible too. ^^Y

Aging Skin Fighter
2 sdt plain yogurt
1/2 sdt madu
1/2 sdt lemon juice
3 kapsul vitamin E (sama dengan 300 unit)

::Campurkan yogurt, madu dan lemon juice. Buka kapsul vitamin E dan masukan kedalam campuran diatas. Aplikasikan pada wajah, diamkan selama 15 menit. Bilas dengan air hangat.

Almond-Butter Hand Softener
1 sdt almond oil
1 cangkir butter

::Campurkan bahan diatas. Sebelum tidur, pijatkan campuran tersebut ke tangan dan tutup dengan sarung tangan katun putih. Gunakan semalaman sepanjang tidur.

Almond-Honey Scrub
2 sdt crushed almonds
1 sdt madu

::Campurkan. Gunakan sebagai masker wajah selama 5 menit. Gosok perlahan dan bilas.

Almond-Mayonnaise Scrub
For very dry skin.

1/4 cangkir almonds
1/8 sdt mayonnaise

::Hancurkan almond dengan blender sampai halus. Lalu campurkan dengan mayonnaise lalu aduk. Cuci muka dengan vinegar. Lalu aplikasikan campuran almond dan mayonnaise lalu pijat perlahan. Lalu diamkan selama 10 menit. Bilas lagi Vinegar Rinse.

Anti-Aging Cream
1 ounce glycerin
1 ounce witch hazel
1/2 ounce rose water
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons wheat germ oil

Combine ingredients in a glass or ceramic bowl and gently whisk until they are thoroughly combined. Store the emulsion in a tightly sealed container at room temperature. It should last for at least 1 month.

Massage the solution into the skin around your eyes and mouth, using a circular and upward motion. This motion will counteract the natural droop of gravity. If you have the time, it's a good idea to hang your head over the edge of the bed and massage the cream in while you're partially upside down.

im back with some more answers today :) to get the problem of oiliness away,
you will have to use the method of DEEP CLEANING & follow it with pore minimizing lotion.
how do you DEEP CLEAN ? well im here to share these easy tips to mask & wash your face!
which is safe, cheap, and easy ! let's go !!

1. mix white egg with one spoon of honey, then squeeze 2-3 droplets (no more than this!)
of lime juice and stir the mixture together. gently apply this mixture on your face & mask it
for 15-20 minutes. then wash off with water. (this method will help minimize your large pores
& make your face brighter & whiter!)

2. pick one tomato & clean it. use the totmato juice (or you can cut it into thin pieces) and mask
your face with it. leave it on for 20 minutes, then wash off with water. (this method will help
keep your skin balanced - not too dry, not too oily, VERY healthy method)

3. you can also use an orange to do the same way as the tomato method : cut the orange into
thin pieces and mask your face for 20 minutes, wash off with water. (orange brightens your face
really well ! )

4. mix tamarine juice (im not sure if you can find this in the states or not, again) with white egg
and 1-2 droplets of honey, stir the mixture up. and mask your face with this mixture for 10 minutes
and then wash with water. (you will find that your face is more bright & soft : some people find
that it makes their skin whiter )

5. blend one tomato up, then pour the blended tomato on a clean white cloth, you will then squeeze
the tomato juice out of the blended tomato. mix milk with the tomato juice (in equal amounts), use
this mixture to clean your face 1-2 times a day, then rinse off with water (this method is good for those
with oily skin/combination skin because the acid in the tomato can be used to clean the impurities on our skin,
it also helps us get rid of the dead skin cells in a gentle way, and especially when mixed with milk, there
is lacitc acid that helps the dead skin cells come off gently ^^)

6. use soft-prepared chalk/white clay fiber to mix with one tablespoon of honey and 1/4 of lime juice. mix
it together. use this to mask your face for 20 minutes. and then rinse off with water. (this method will help
with minimizing your pores & will also make your face so soft !)

7. melt the soft-prepared chalk by adding a little bit of water, then add lime juice/tamarind juice and
turmeric powder then mix it, use this mixture to mask your face until it becomes dry.
wash off with water (you will find that your face is white & clear ^^)

HOW TO GET RID OF YELLOW NAILS ?

Have you ever worried about your nails turning yellow after you wash your nails with nail-polish remover?
these problems often occur with girls who loves keeping their nails colorful & pretty . i am here with some
beauty remedies to turn your beloved fingernails back to normal like magic !

1. use lime juice from half a lime, mix it with warm water, and dip your fingers/hands in the mixture.
leave for 15 minutes. The Citric acid in the lime will help return the ugly yellow nails back into our
beautiful white & healthy nails !

2. add lime juice (half a lime) with warm water in a small bowl, then add two droplets of lavender oil. mix
the ingredients. dip your hand inside the bowl, and gently scrub your nails inside the water, once you are done
with both hands, rinse it with warm water and dry it with a clean cloth.

3. cut the lime into half, and then use it to rub on your yellow nails daily, applying hand lotion afterwards

4. mix warm water with tamarine juice, dipping your nails in for about 10 minutes. rinse it off with warm water &
then dry it off .

5. dip a cotton ball/pad into cider vinegar (vinegar made from apples) and then put it on top of your yellow nails
for about one minute. this will help us girls (and guys) with yellow nails problems !!
